
The Ingredients
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 onions (one chopped fine, and one sliced thin)
- 1 cup brown lentils (rinse it)
- 1 cup Jasmine rice (rinse it)
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- Salt/Pepper
The Directions
Step 1
Fry chopped onion in

Step 2
Add 4 cups of water and cover the pot. Let cook for about 25 minutes or until lentils start to get ready.
Step 3
Add rice, cumin, salt
Step 4
Cook on low heat for another 15 minutes or until rice is ready.
Step 5
While rice cooks, heat vegetable oil in frying pan. Throw in thinly sliced onion in oil and cook until golden.

Step 6
Transfer rice in serving plate and top with golden sliced onions.

Step 7
Serve with plain yogurt and traditional Falahi salad.
